In 2015 I got my 1st good gaming computer and with that came a huge new verity of games that you can not really play on console. Mainly strategy games. And a game that I could not stop playing for the longest time is EU4. (Europa Universalis 4) Now this game is not a game that is all fast thinking and reaction times. It is a game thats all about thinking ahead and more thinking smart. The game starts off in 1444 to 1836 I believe. I am not sure because I have not won the game is very hard but ill touch on that later. At the start of the game you pick a country. Now because this game starts in 1444 you cant pick Canada, the usa of Mexico things like that because they were made after 1444. You may pick France even though everyone hates them like in 1444 or England not the united kingdom because that was not formed until later. Or even muscovy witch, if you play your cards right you can form Russia. Or Castel before they became Spain if you want to play really strong colonization game. Once you pick up country as your own you start to play. You make alliances with other countries and other things that happened in that time. From this point on is all about trying to become the number one country. To do this you get more land more money more manpower just things that will make you a stronger country. I love this game just because of all the gameplay features. Im going to talk about my old game where I formed Russia. After I formed Russia I started taking some land to the east and while I was doing that the ottomans made me there rival. That told me that they hated me and I started to get ready for a war
As that happened The commonwealth also rivals me and allies the Ottomans. The declare war on me and are two much for me to take on. I lose a lot of land and I had to end the game because I backed my self into a corner that I could not get out of. And that is something I love about this game that sometimes one wrong move can just make you lose the game.
As this happens other things happen around the world to like Denmark might get stronger or France might completely fall. The whole game is just an alternate time line. You may go over to north america to discover that the natives are more technologically advanced then you are which is just asking for trouble. Or what might happen is that your people in your empire don't like you as ruler any more and might rebel to form a new country. You may just kill the rebels when they start but they might just be to strong. Or a civil war will break out. Or maybe a thing that happened in the real world will happen such as the war of roses in England. Thats just a few small things that i have touched on. I did not talk about how combat works or naval combat or anything like that. Or about how kings and hairs work. Or vasels or aggerssive expansion or how to increases technology.
