The 2nd week of Training school for Ellie and we had to bring her to school this time. When me and my Dad got there we sat in the car for a bit waiting for the right time to go in. As we waited we saw this little German Shepard puppy who was horrible, running all over the place, barking non stop. It was because of all the other dogs around there, you could see him trying to run towards other dogs. We also saw other puppies nothing really to spectacular. When we finally got in much to our surprise there was dogs there. Not just puppies like grown dogs. Also there was little puppy who was not bigger than my hand also it was probably the worst one there when it came to fallowing what was said. The trainer women also named Ellie started to talk about what to do when the dogs were being bad witch all it really was, was throw them in the cage in till they stop wanting out and then let them out. This was to take away there freedom and teach them, hey that was wrong or what not. She also said the best thing that could happen was for them to do the problem again so you could throw it in the cage again. She also showed how to make them wait for food witch was sit on the ground throw a treat in front of them but out of there reach and then when the dog goes calm give them a different treat and then repeat the process a few more times. Another way she said to do this is to start putting her food bowl down and if he head goes down yank the food back up and keep repeating this in till the dog keeps her head up and waits for you to tell her to get it and it works the 1st time we did it she put her head down. We took the bowl back up and then started to put it back down and she kept looking at me till i told her to get it. I don't know why this is important but i assume it is for a future lesson on staying.
